Find Fashion: Street Style Chic

You’re wardrobe staples should be sorted (if not, head to our previous post!) Now let’s talk about adding versatile trend pieces into your closet. Again, our keyword is versatile- just because something is on the ‘trendier’ end of the spectrum doesn’t mean you can’t mix and match it into your everyday style.

At Belmont Forum this winter you’ll be greeted by multiple key colours, two of our favourites are Khaki Green and Dusty Pink.

Khaki has an almost blurred line between being a trend and a classic Winter colour- it just comes back season after season! Khaki Green is the perfect way to inject colour into your wardrobe without going over the top. The darker shade allows you to pair it back with your denims and neutrals. Up the ante by pairing it with a punchy mustard or red.

When it comes to Dusty Pink- Cotton On, Colette and Best & Less are the places to go. Welcome pink into your wardrobe via accessories, if you’re game, play around with textures. Colette has a wonderful range of pink bags and clutches made out of lush velvets, furs and suede.

Winter would not be winter without a little denim!

This is where a chambray shirt comes in. If you want to start layering, add a chunky knit over the top with a trench coat and you’re set! You’ll be seeing a lot of embroidery on denim-whether it’s intricate floral running up your jean leg or a fun pattern over your shirt. Don’t forget that a chambray shirt can be translated into your future Summer wardrobe so you get twice the use! Find yours today at Katies Fashion, Jeanswest or Ally.
